AIDS 2006 Youth Site
About this event: AIDS 2006 – XVI International AIDS Conference

I am very happy to welcome everyone to the AIDS 2006 youth site! This is the first time the International AIDS Conference has had a youth specific web component and our team is very excited about it! TakingITGlobal has been working very hard to get everything up and running so many thanks to their hard-working team. Also, this site would not have happened without the generous support of the MAC AIDS Fund.

Over one hundred youth and adult-allies have been planning youth activities for AIDS 2006 this August. The Youth Programme and YouthForce have been working hard to ensure that this Conference is a landmark in terms of meaningful youth participation and this site will help us to achieve our goals. Use this site to share information, see who is coming to the conference from different regions of the world and connect with each other.

In the coming weeks this site will be a place to get:
-Up-to date information on all youth-related events and sessions
-Information on how to participate in the Toronto YouthForce advocacy campaign
-Youth Pre-Conference updates
-Daily updates on youth-focused sessions and Youth Rapporteur summaries
-Youth focused media articles
-Information on youth-led prevention, care, and awareness initiatives showcased at the Youth Pavilion
-And much more!

Enjoy checking it out and let us know what you think: youth@aids2006.org

Discussion Board Use
Alex,
I am with the World University Service of Canada and part of our involvement in the Conference (including two live presentations) was to host a web forum/discussion surrounding Youth Issues and HIV/AIDS. I would like to post on the Youth Discussion Board off the AIDS2006 website, but we are less interested in discussing logistical stuff about the conference, and more interested in discussing more genereal things about the role of Youth in the Crisis. Would i be alright for us to post on the discussion board? Could you create another section for general discussion about the issues?

Please contact me soon,
Ryan Cho
